March 30th 12:00 p.m.

We would like to invite you and your family to join us on March 30th at 12:00 P.M.for the Willow Grove Ministerial Alliance

Good Friday Service to be held this year at 1st Baptist Church Cresmont. This special service is designed to focus our hearts and minds

on the true meaning of Easter and on the Lord's great love and sacrifice for us.

We need every one's support to make the event successful. Our youth ministry is important to the church. So below is a list of the type of volunteers needed and supplies needed for donation. There will be sign-up sheets in the lobby of the church for adult & teen volunteers, donations, and youth participants:

We would like the following age groups to participate and will need two teachers for each group, there are three groups. A lesson and activity will be provided for each group:
1. Pre-K to Kindergarten
2. 1st grade to 3rd grade
3. 4th grade to 6th grade

We will provide a lunch consisting of pizza, vegetables, fruit, juice box and/or water.  (FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED).  We will need 3-4 people to help serve approximately 40 children.

We need at least two volunteers for each wave of egg hunters. The Pre-K and Kindergarten group is first followed by 1st-3rd grade group and 4th-6th grade.

Please be able to arrive at 11:30 or stay late. Main responsibilities include kitchen clean up and vacuuming floors.

We would like to capitalize on good weather and provide as many outside activities as possible. We need two volunteers for each group.

We need an additional 200 hundred plastic eggs filled with candy.

Thank you in advance for your help. Please contact Sis. Brenda Hamlin at brenda82256@aol.com  or Sis. Priscilla Jackson at Priscilla.Jackson@delval.edu  with any questions or to let us know how you would like to volunteer or donate. Again, sign up sheets will also be in the lobby. Please sign your child up so that we can make sure that we get a good count of how many children are participating. Thanks again and God Bless!

90 Day Tithing Challenge

Begins Sun. Oct. 1st
Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates  of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be  enough room to store. - Malachi 3:10

The Bible teaches us that our baseline standard for giving is the tithe - contributing 10% of our gross income to the church. Your tithe is one way of exercising your faith in God and your love for others. God calls us to give the first of what we have and He will bless the rest. Tithing is about learning to trust that God will keep that promise.

Your giving helps send students to college, provide emergency financial assistance to members in need, feed the hungry, maintain our buildings and grounds, advance our dreams, support outreach in our community and much more.

What is the 90-day challenge?

We are asking that you make a commitment to Tithe for 90 days beginning Sunday Oct. 1st. Giving God back our first fruits is the only area of our lives where God invited us to "test" him (Malachi 3:10). Go ahead and test God with your tithe. Trust God with your finances and see how He blesses you and your family. Some have already made a commitment to Tithe.  If you have not made a commitment as of yet please pray about doing so now. When the 90-day challenge has been completed, let's share with one another how God provided for our needs during that time.

 2nd & 4th Sundays of every month

We invite parents to bring your children as we continue our pilgrim journey in strengthening our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Pastor Hamlin and the Ministerial Staff believe that "One or more of your children will change the world as we know it".  Prayerfully, and with your support, we just want to be sure our children get what they need to be spiritually accountable in Jesus Christ.
Make a commitment to the Savior, because only what we do for Christ will last!

Meets on the Second Saturday of every month @ 8:00AM

The great privilege of the Worship Warriors Ministry is mobilizing Intercessors and Prayer Warriors to pray a covering over the Worship Services and usher in the Holy Spirit's presence.  They take on the role of Pray-ers before the Service and while Service is taking place.  Praying before the Service allows the Holy Spirit to prepare us spiritually to receive from Him.  Our prayers make a difference in the Spiritual atmosphere.  Worship Warriors meet each Sunday  at 8:30-9:15 a.m. in Classroom 2 for Pre-Service Prayer.  All are welcome to participate in this ministry. Please contact Bro. Robin Buzby for additional information Robinbuzby@yahoo.com.

We have established a Prayer Room located in Classroom 3 where you can come before and after service for additional prayer time and to pray with the church leadership and Worship Warriors. We also extend to the church body the opportunity to be actively engaged in our Prayer Ministry, led by Bro. Robin Buzby

Second Baptist Church is involved in an ongoing process of building a mission program that is far-reaching and powerful on a global level. The Church has collaborated its resources, gifts, and finances with several local and international organizations to aid in the fulfillment of the "Great Commission".  The Mission Board supports other church ministries, including the Feeding Ministry and other charitable events at the church, such as the Martin Luther King Day of Service.  The Mission Board provides the funding for meals for both of these events.  The Mission Board also supports community and global ministries, including Bucks County Opportunity Council, Bucks County Housing Group, and Samaritan's Purse.
If you are interested in joining the Mission Board, please contact Patty Roberts.
