Pastor Search Committee Update:
Next meeting with Church – November 9, 2025 @ Heavenly Brews

Our church is prayerfully continuing the process of seeking our next pastor. To ensure a thoughtful and inclusive search that meets the needs of the committee, we are opening the Pastoral Search Committee to additional members. The Search Committee’s role is to facilitate the search process, gather input from the congregation, and prayerfully recommend a candidate to the church. The Search Committee does not choose the new pastor; the church membership does.

Depending on the final composition of the team, we may add one or three new members to maintain an odd number of members—a best practice for balanced discussion and clear decision-making. Interested members will be asked to provide brief information about their background, skills, and expertise, as well as their reasons for wanting to serve on the committee. We will provide you with the opportunity to ask questions and gain further clarity about the committee during our next update meeting on November 9th, after Heavenly Brews.

If you feel called to serve, please contact Deacon Booker Farrior at booker.farrior@gmail.com by Sunday, November 16 at 12:00 PM.

Let us continue to seek God’s guidance together as we discern the next shepherd to lead our congregation.
Pastoral Search Process:
The pastoral search is not just about finding the right leader – it’s about all of us discerning God’s will together. Our role as a committee is to steward this process faithfully and transparently. The committee’s role is to lead the search process, identify qualified candidates, and recommend a final candidate to the congregation for approval. The role of the congregation is to select the next pastor. Every member has one vote. Please know that the final decision to call our next pastor will be made by the membership – not the Deacon Board, not the Trustee Board, and not the search committee. The committee’s role is to facilitate the process with prayerful diligence, inclusion of congregational input, and present a recommendation for the church to vote on.
